Our Background

Voyager Imaging (a division of Intellirad Solutions Pty Ltd) was formerly part of Compumedics Ltd group of companies. Compumedics was established in 1987, and in the early 1990’s, developed the worlds first Windows based Teleradiology system.

As an Australian based company, Compumedics worked closely with radiologists and radiographers that provided an intuitive and easy to use Teleradiology and reporting system that allowed remote centres to capture images through DICOM and non DICOM sources, and to send these images through low bandwidth PSTN connections to radiologists for reporting.

In 2000, Compumedics became a publicly listed company, however the medical imaging division remained a privately owned business, Intellirad Solutions Pty Ltd. From this time, it has continued to develop and innovate products in the area of medical imaging, with the extension of its Voyager products from Teleradiology, through Softcopy Radiologist Workstations, to enterprise wide PACS networks.
